I've been hearing more and more over the years about people trying to escape their countries because of tyrannical governments and policies. Children especially deserve a space that's safe, where they can be children and experience life as they are supposed to. I'm always amazed at how children can make dire spaces like refugee camps 'home' and still be joyful and happy. Also, in a way, our own homes became 'safe spaces' during the COVID pandemic. I was thinking that we have to be grateful that we have these spaces when so many around the world are searching for them.
